With exceptional taste and expert analytical and strategic skills, they work closely with cross-functional teams to delight our customers with the products they want—and even the ones they don’t know they want yet.
About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic, consumer-obsessed, and results-driven Director, Merchandising - Women’s Footwear to lead the end-to-end product assortment strategy and execution for our Women’s Footwear business across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels. This role will lead the category vision, build compelling and profitable assortments, and drive growth while ensuring alignment with brand positioning and financial objectives.The Director will partner closely with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production, and Marketing to deliver a best-in-class product offering and a go-to-market strategy that resonates with the modern consumer.
This role reports to the VP, Merchandising and is based in our San Francisco office.
What you’ll do:
- Category Strategy: Define and execute the seasonal and long-range merchandising strategy for Women’s Footwear, aligning brand vision, consumer insights, and business goals
- Assortment Planning: Build balanced, productive assortments across core and trend categories, ensuring strong pricing architecture and assortment productivity
- Financial Ownership: Drive topline and bottom-line performance, managing revenue, margin, inventory, and in-season optimization through lifecycle and product portfolio management
- Consumer & Market Insights: Leverage sales data, competitive analysis, and trend insights to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production, and Marketing to execute a successful go-to-market strategy
- Channel Optimization: Tailor merchandising strategies to meet the unique needs of retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels
- Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making
You have:
- 8+ years of merchandising experience in the footwear, accessories, or fashion industry
- Experience in women’s footwear is a plus
- Proven ability and track record in developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive growth and profitability
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience working effectively cross-functionally with Design, Planning, and Production teams
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with ability to lead by example with strong people management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Passion for product and deep curiosity to understand customer trends and behaviors
- An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- A proactive approach with a high level of ownership and responsibility for your work
- Experience in using product lifecycle management tools, Google suite (sheets and slides), as well as ad hoc tool building a plus

Pay range:
$187,000 - $227,000 annuallyBase pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
