Summary/Objective The Director of Wholesale is responsible for driving sales volume by fostering relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction with key partners.
The role is equal parts operations mastery, sales leadership, and supreme customer account management. The Director of Wholesale focuses on managing our key partners, landing new accounts, and continuing to scale business over time. Job Duties:
- Develop powerful and lasting relationships with buyers and merchants
- Develop strategies and processes to improve productivity, top-line revenues, and profitability across all key accounts.
- Implement and utilize systems to scale hypergrowth and provide business reporting to the executive team, including selling analysis, market context, and product feedback
- Eagerness to create hyper growth with small and large businesses through outreach, travel, and other means.
- Manage goals and growth for an array of customers from department stores, independent retailers, to B2B businesses
- Manage and participate in key trade shows when needed
- Maintain MAP pricing across all brands with all partners
- Provide forecasting insights for all key accounts
- Ensure adequate inventory levels, supply chain flows and B-to-B customer service
- Provide key performance reports across KPIs to ensure visibility across peers and leadership team
- Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate product development based on key individual account needs, that aligns to internal production operational calendars
- Provide business reporting and presentations to the executive team, including selling analysis, market context, and product feedback
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Strong customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer and Tech savvy, use of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Basic Admin skill: printing, scanning, etc.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor?s Degree with a focus in Business, Marketing or related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience managing large apparel wholesale accounts
