Summary:


Onset Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager Consultant to lead high-impact IT initiatives supporting a private equity–backed carve-out. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, vendor oversight, and system integration activities, ensuring independent IT and operational capabilities are established ahead of TSA (Transition Services Agreement) deadlines.

The role requires a seasoned IT project manager with enterprise-level experience, strong vendor management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed teams across multiple locations including California, Texas, and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large capital IT initiatives supporting carve-out and TSA timelines.
  • Manage vendor selection and oversight, including RFPs, RFQs, sole-source contracts, and system integrators.
  • Oversee external vendors and system integrators to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure projects deliver against aggressive carve-out deadlines and TSA-driven requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional, matrixed project teams and coordinate across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into project status, risks, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure IT solutions meet operational requirements.

Required Skills:


  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience, with enterprise-level project delivery expertise.
  • Proven experience managing large capital IT projects ($1M+), particularly SAP implementations and integrations.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including oversight of system integrators and managed service providers (MSPs).
  • Knowledge of SAP modules and tools such as SAP SuccessFactors, Fieldglass, Concur, and/or ADP.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills / Nice to Have:


  • Experience in carve-outs, TSAs, or standalone readiness projects.
  • Background in private equity–backed transformations.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Prior experience managing multi-location IT rollouts in complex environments.
