An
Agora company is searching for an experienced editor and writer to join its digital publishing team as a Senior Managing Editor.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping high-quality content, collaborating across teams, and using data and audience insights to drive growth. You’ll be deeply involved in digital publishing while expanding your knowledge of personal finance and investing, and helping others do the same.In this role, you’ll contribute to content that reaches a global audience of nearly one million readers across more than 150 countries, helping improve financial literacy on topics ranging from budgeting and retirement planning to investing and market trends.
The work you do will help transform money from a source of stress into a source of confidence and opportunity for readers worldwide.As a Senior Managing Editor, you’ll work closely with editorial leadership and publishing partners to plan, curate, edit, and produce content for both a monthly print publication and a high-volume digital newsletter. You’ll help guide editorial strategy, oversee day-to-day operations of a flagship franchise, and collaborate with editorial, design, and marketing teams to ensure content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with editorial leadership to produce high-quality editorial content for web, print, and multimedia platforms
- Manage day-to-day publishing operations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery
- Edit and polish content to clearly highlight core ideas, insights, and featured products
- Partner with editorial and marketing teams to develop content that supports broader marketing initiatives
- Research, write, and update reports, welcome materials, bios, background content, and website copy
- Plan, edit, and execute weekly video segments in collaboration with internal teams
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators to inform editorial strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of five years of professional writing and editing experience
- Experience in newsletter publishing, content marketing, digital publishing, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience launching, marketing, or growing products or services
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based content management systems
- Excellent writing, research, and editing skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to take initiatives from concept through execution
- Collaborative team player with high emotional intelligence and strong communication skills
- Curiosity-driven mindset with an interest in finance, marketing, and audience engagement
Compensation Range –
$80,000 - $110,000 USD
Location(s) & Work Arrangement –
Mount Vernon, Baltimore / Hybrid
