Gas Piping Skilled Installer at Charlotte Mechanical

Charlotte Mechanical is seeking an experienced Gas Piping Skilled Installer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a safety-focused professional with strong technical skills and experience in natural gas and propane line installation.

Job Responsibilities:

Install gas lines and fittings for natural gas and propane systems
Install and work with black pipe, CSST, and TracPipe
Connect gas lines to fireplaces, outdoor grills, kitchen appliances, generators, and other natural gas appliances
Install gas piping for related equipment according to manufacturer specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and gas plans
Apply and comply with North Carolina gas codes
Maintain exceptional safety awareness of tools, testing devices, and jobsite surroundings
Demonstrate general knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems

Requirements

Proven experience in gas piping installation
Strong understanding of NC gas codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage unexpected situations
Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
Strong time management skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Work in varying temperature conditions (hot and cold environments)

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel overnight when needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass a drug screen
Must pass a criminal background check
