We are pleased to announce the opening for a Contracts Administrator who will join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position requires prior, hands-on experience in full lifecycle contract administration for both government and commercial contracts. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for drafting, negotiating, administering, and closing contracts of all types, including significant experience developing and managing subcontracts.The successful candidate must have a proven ability to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and contractual terms and conditions and serve as a point of contact for contractual matters with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontracts of all contract types, including subcontract modifications, amendments, and change actions, ensuring inclusion of required FAR/DFARS flow-downs and compliance throughout contract performance.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer other contractual agreements, including NDA’s, TA’s, PO’s, and other related contract documents.
- Manage contract and subcontract closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables, documentation, and compliance requirements are satisfied.
- Ensure all contractual requirements are met, documented, and compliant with applicable terms, conditions, rules, and regulations.
- Interface with internal teams, external customers, vendors, and leadership on all contractual issues.
- Support proposal activities, including managing data calls for prime and subcontracts, serving as the primary customer interface, and ensuring completion of contractual volumes.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and orders, develop requests for quotes (RFQs), and support vendor review and selection.
- Manage direct property purchases in compliance with applicable regulations and the company’s approved Government Property policy.
- Organize and maintain accurate and comprehensive contract documentation and files, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Review new contracts and subcontracts, coordinating and ensuring required internal review, input, and approval from other functional areas (e.g., finance, program management, pricing, security, and leadership) as needed.
- Support AS9100 and other internal or external audits, ensuring contract administration processes align with quality management system standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in contracting best practices and language, with a strong working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, GSAM, NFS, and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes that may affect company contracting and proposal activities. Proactively stay informed on contracting regulation changes and industry best practices, taking initiative to continuously learn and grow in the role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Acquisition, or related field AND at least 2 years of contract-related work experience; OR a minimum of 4 years of direct contract-related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- NCMA Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting compliance requirements, including FAR/DFARS, DCAA audit practices, DCMA contract administration oversight, and other applicable federal agency regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of federal contracting processes and regulations.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities.
