About the Role
As the DevSecOps Lead, you will be the single point of ownership for IntelliSPEC’s cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security posture, and operational reliability. This role is both strategic and deeply hands-on, responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating the platform that powers IntelliSPEC’s industrial-grade solutions.You will operate at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity, enabling fast, safe delivery while ensuring resilience, compliance readiness, and production excellence.
This role establishes the foundation for how IntelliSPEC scales securely.
The Team
You will join IntelliSPEC’s Product and Technology organization as the owner of the DevSecOps function, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product leaders. While this is initially a solo role, it is designed to scale into a broader platform and security team as the organization grows.
What We’re Looking For – Required
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevSecOps roles
- Proven experience owning cloud infrastructure end-to-end in production environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or equivalent)
- Deep experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Strong experience implementing cloud security controls including IAM, secrets management, encryption, network security, and vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, monitoring, logging, and incident response
- Ability to operate independently, make architectural decisions, and prioritize work based on risk and business impact
What We’re Looking For – Preferred
- Experience operating Azure-based platforms in enterprise environments
- Experience implementing zero-trust or identity-first security architectures
- Experience supporting SOC2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
- Experience in industrial, safety-critical, or regulated environments
- Experience with observability tooling such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of IntelliSPEC’s cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Build and maintain secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines with embedded quality and security gates
- Define and enforce cloud security standards including identity, secrets, encryption, and network policies
- Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment safety, reliability, and incident response
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and on-call practices for production systems
- Drive vulnerability management, patching, and remediation workflows
- Support audit readiness and compliance requirements through automation and evidence generation
- Continuously improve platform resilience, cost efficiency, and operational maturity
