About the Role
As UX / Product Design Lead, you will own the end-to-end user experience and design system for IntelliSPEC’s SaaS platform and mobile applications. This role is responsible for translating complex industrial workflows, data-heavy screens, and AI-assisted interactions into intuitive, efficient, and human-centered experiences.You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, domain workflows, and engineering execution. This is a senior hands-on leadership role, setting design direction and directly shaping critical user journeys across web and mobile experiences, including offline and low-connectivity field use cases.
The Team
You will be a core member of IntelliSPEC’s Product and Technology leadership group, working closely with Product Management, the Chief Architect, Director of Software Engineering, and Engineering teams. You will design experiences spanning desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors. While initially an individual contributor role, this position is expected to scale into a broader design function as the platform grows.
What We’re Looking For – Required
- 8+ years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design for SaaS and mobile applications
- Proven experience designing complex, data-intensive enterprise or B2B applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of end-to-end web and mobile product experiences
- Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design
- Hands-on expertise with modern design tools such as Figma
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver production-ready designs
- Ability to simplify complex workflows without losing domain fidelity
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence product and engineering leaders
What We’re Looking For – Preferred
- Experience designing for industrial, operational, or regulated environments
- Experience designing offline-first or low-connectivity mobile user experiences
- Familiarity with React-based web applications and mobile app design patterns
- Experience designing AI-assisted or data-driven user workflows
- Experience defining and maintaining scalable design systems
Key Responsibilities
- Own IntelliSPEC’s UX vision and product design strategy across web and mobile applications
- Design intuitive user flows for complex inspection, asset, and operational workflows
- Design and optimize user experiences for mobile field applications, including offline-first workflows
- Establish and maintain a scalable design system aligned with engineering implementation
- Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into clear, user-centered designs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design intent is implemented accurately across platforms
- Lead usability testing, feedback loops, and iterative design improvements
- Lay the foundation for a future design team through standards, documentation, and mentorship
