Position Description
:
The qualified candidate will be applying conformal coat of paint to printed circuit boards.
- Develop a working knowledge of the names and appearance of the different types of conformal coat
- Develop a working knowledge of the proper use of pneumatic and manual syringes, sprays, etc. as they are needed to apply conformal coat to printed circuit boards.
- Perform conformal coat application per applicable workmanship specifications, drawings, samples, or verbal instructions.
- Interpret standard procedures, written assembly instructions, assembly drawings and engineering documentation.
- Follow instructions to make sure certain areas of the board do not get coated i.e. properly masked off
- Ensure proper staking of components and removal of tape for areas that are masked off
- Develop a working knowledge of electronic acceptance criteria, e.g. ANSI/IPC 610.
- Accurately document required information in required reporting systems.
- Other duties as required in the Production department.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior conformal coating experience is desired.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, distinguish colors, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to cut masking & Kapton tape with sharp blades
- Ability to use tweezers
- Non sensitivity to smell
- Must be willing to wear respirator when spraying
- Use fingers or tools to perform one or more repetitive assembly operations.
- Work at a steady pace under close supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
