Product Owner – Product Configuration

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner with strong working knowledge of U.S. and global immigration processes and expertise in product/process configuration. This role will lead the design, refinement, and continuous optimization of configurable immigration workflows, rules engines, case types, templates, and compliance frameworks within our product ecosystem.The Product Owner will collaborate closely with engineering, legal/immigration experts, operations, and customer success teams to ensure our platform delivers accurate, compliant, and scalable immigration solutions for multinational clients.

As our Product Owner, you will be required to: 


Product Strategy & Vision


  • Define and maintain the product configuration roadmap for global immigration modules, workflows, and rules frameworks.
  • Translate immigration policy changes (USCIS, DOL, consulates, global government agencies) into product requirements and configuration updates.
  • Conduct market and regulatory research to anticipate changes affecting immigration case management and compliance automation.

Backlog & Requirements Management


  • Own and prioritize the product configuration backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and configuration specifications for immigration case types, document requirements, questionnaires, rule engines, and compliance triggers.
  • Manage configuration releases and ensure stable deployment of updates across regional immigration products.

Cross-Functional Leadership


  • Serve as the product subject matter expert for immigration workflows—including U.S. (H‑1B, PERM, I‑140, Adjustment of Status, NIV, etc.) and global mobility programs.
  • Partner with immigration attorneys, paralegals, and compliance specialists to validate requirements and ensure legal accuracy.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to refine requirements, support sprint planning, and ensure quality delivery.

Configuration Governance & Quality


  • Establish configuration standards, governance processes, and version controls across products.
  • Validate that configurations meet accuracy, compliance, and usability standards through testing and stakeholder reviews.
  • Monitor performance of configured workflows and implement improvements to reduce cycle times and error rates.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Act as the liaison between customer-facing teams and engineering for configuration-related enhancements.
  • Understand customer needs across corporate mobility, HR, talent acquisition, and immigration service partners, translating them into scalable product configurations.
  • Support customer migrations, onboarding, and adoption of new case types or workflow enhancements.

To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications: 


  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. immigration (non‑immigrant, immigrant, PERM, compliance processes).
  • Familiarity with global immigration frameworks, including corporate mobility, work authorization, and document requirements across multiple regions.
  • Hands-on experience with rules engines, product configuration, XML/JSON templates, or dynamic forms.
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into structured product logic and workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Configuration Specialist in SaaS, enterprise platforms, or workflow-heavy products.
  • Experience in immigration technology platforms or global mobility solutions.
  • Prior experience working with legal operations, immigration attorneys, or global workforce compliance teams.
  • Knowledge of localization, country-specific document generation, and compliance automation.
  • Exposure to UX design principles for form-based workflows.
