The Director, Corporate Development will help manage various strategic projects from the executive team (CEO, COO, CFO, CUO) and will contribute to the development of the business’ strategic goals.

Qualifications:


  • Masters degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 7 years work experience, insurance experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, financial analysis and technical accounting skills required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Oracle skills
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
  • CPA preferred

Primary Job Functions:


  • Help manage and lead various strategic projects for the Executive team (such as M&A and various operating efficiency projects)
  • Provide Business Line finance and M&A support.
  • Conduct diligence on proposed acquisitions
  • Research various strategic scenarios and provide thoughtful recommendations to the Executive team
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis.
  • Supporting Senior Executive Team with in-depth analysis.
  • Prepare presentations to Senior Management Team and the Board of Directors.
  • Demonstrate Fortegra Values and hold others accountable for doing the same.  Build trust and credibility and manage relationships with internal networks to stay informed and develop a deep knowledge base of Fortegra operations and projects performance
