About the Role:
As a Business & Financial Analyst supporting a nationwide public safety emerging technology program, you will provide analytical and operational support to inform leadership decision-making related to investments, initiatives, and strategic priorities. This role applies business, financial, and economic analysis skills to evaluate trade-offs, risks, and implications of proposed actions in a complex federal environment. You will work closely with program managers, technical teams, and government stakeholders to develop decision-support materials, assess investment options, and contribute to business planning efforts aligned with mission needs.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Support business and financial analysis activities related to proposed initiatives, investments, and program options
- Assist with the development and review of business cases, cost estimates, and decision-support documentation
- Conduct high-level assessments of cost drivers, benefits, risks, and trade-offs to support leadership discussions
- Contribute to comparative evaluations of alternatives, including impacts, feasibility, and program implications
- Help translate analytical findings into clear summaries and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Support the preparation of executive briefings, reports, and presentation materials
- Ensure analyses reflect program objectives, operational constraints, and federal guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment planning and strategic decision-making

Location:
You will work as part of a primarily remote team, with occasional in-person meetings at headquarters locations in Washington, DC; Reston, VA; Arlington, VA; or Boulder, CO.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, public policy, or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or decision-support roles
- Experience supporting investment evaluation, business case development, or alternative analysis efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally
- Experience supporting federal programs, infrastructure initiatives, or regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with public sector budgeting, program performance, or large-scale investment programs
- US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
