Role Overview
- Location: On-Site (Chicago, IL)
- Schedule: 1st Shift (7:30a-4p); Monday to Friday
- Pay Rate: $21
Your Mission as a Field Service Technician
- Provide exceptional customer support by phone, email, and onsite.
- Manage daily technology operations including networks, email, and software systems.
- Support macOS, macOS Server, Windows Desktop/Server, iOS devices, Google Console, and VMware.
- Work with Workgroup Manager, Open Directory, Active Directory, and Google Console.
- Install and configure desktop computers, servers, printers, and related hardware.
- Install and troubleshoot interactive teaching solutions including boards and projectors.
- Repair and replace non-functioning computer equipment.
- Create, maintain, and update computer images.
- Maintain and upgrade networking equipment.
- Install and support software and system updates.
- Maintain software license compliance and inventory records for all equipment.
- Support telephone system issues and coordinate repair requests.
- Ensure physical security of all computer assets.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of all computer-related systems for efficient troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team
Education & Certifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in hardware and software installation and maintenance (preferred).
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Background check required prior to hire.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to deploy software via Network/Server/MDM tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate instructions clearly.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting using written, diagram, or verbal guidance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, talking, hearing, using hands, and reaching.
- Close-vision and focus-adjustment capability required.
