Global Head of Social and Digital Creative
We are looking for an exceptional, culturally tuned, digitally-native creative leader to oversee all social creative output across ZURU Toys and ZURU Edge internationally. This is a rare chance to design and scale a global social-first creative engine, grounded in speed, distinctive brand building on social, storytelling, and measurable impact.Based in our Auckland Centre of Excellence, you will lead a growing team of highly talented creators, editors, designers and production specialists creating daily content that reaches hundreds of millions across the world.
What you will lead
1. The Creative Vision
Own the overarching creative strategy and voice for social across ZURU’s entire portfolioBuild and protect distinctive platform identities for each brand (TikTok, IG, YouTube, etc.)Translate brand platforms into always-on content that drives cultural relevance, talkability, and growth
2. The Content Engine
Responding to briefs from brand teams you will lead the creative workflow for high-volume, high-velocity content productionResponding to briefs from brand teams you will oversee the ideation → scripting → shooting → editing → publishing pipelineBuild best-in-class systems, processes, and creative rituals that empower creators
3. Creative Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and inspire an in-house team of social-first content marketers and creatives in AucklandRecruit and develop world-class talentSet exceptionally high standards for creativity, execution, and brand craft
4. Global Brand Stewardship
Work closely with brand marketing leads to execute relevantly across 25+ marketsAlign content strategies with brand platforms, global campaigns, and commercial/retailer prioritiesEnsure creative consistency while tailoring for local nuance and cultural relevance
5. Cultural Intelligence + Platform Mastery
Partner with our Digital and Data Leads to stay ahead of emerging behaviours, formats, memes, trends, and creatorsGuide teams to create content that feels native, reactive, and strategically valuableExperiment relentlessly, test quickly, learn fast, and scale what works
6. Performance & Insight
Partner with Digital and Data Leaders to interpret performance signals and build frameworks for viral successBuild content strategies grounded in data-inspired creativityInput into brand playbooks, audience insights, and platform-specific best practices with Brand Marketing Leads
