Job Description Summary:
The Regional Gene Therapy Liaison (RGTL) will be a highly motivated, field-based professional who places a strong value on accountability, collaboration, and patient-centricity. This individual is a results-driven sales professional who utilizes their role to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders while executing against defined regional and territory objectives.The RGTL will support the promotion of Vyjuvek, a non-invasive, topical gene therapy for the treatment of patients with dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB).
Vyjuvek is designed to treat DEB at the molecular level by delivering functional copies of the COL7A1 gene to enable production of COL7 protein and address the underlying disease-causing mechanism.This role is highly field-intensive, requiring extensive travel (at least 75%), and will execute across multiple territories within a region with a focus on market development. The Regional Gene Therapy Liaison will contribute to the successful commercialization of Vyjuvek within their assigned region and will represent the “voice of the customer” to internal Krystal teams. They will bring energy and enthusiasm to the dermatology community and other specialties involved in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of DEB.We are seeking a creative and adaptable sales professional, who values and excels in a collaborative team environment while also having strong capabilities in strategic thinking and time management. Employment Term:
This is an at-will, full-time, benefits-eligible position with an initial fixed term of six (6) months. Continued employment beyond the initial term may be considered based on business needs and individual performance but is not guaranteed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support achievement of sales objectives within the assigned region through effective promotion of Vyjuvek to pediatric dermatologists and other key stakeholders involved in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of DEB
- Execute territory strategies focused on market development, brand awareness, and patient identification through appropriate, HCP-driven initiatives
- Promote and educate healthcare professionals on the indication, usage, safety, and efficacy of Vyjuvek through in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and educational interactions
- Effectively prioritize and manage time, travel, activities, and resources to optimize access to academic and community-based healthcare professionals
- Build and maintain consultative sales relationships and ensure consistent, professional communication with customers and prospects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and other commercial partners to support access and coordination at sites of care
- Utilize data, insights, and CRM tools to identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and support informed territory execution
- Develop and implement a territory business plan aligned with regional goals and launch objectives
- Responsibly manage company resources, including in-office education (IOE) budgets, promotional materials, and patient-facing materials
- Foster teamwork and proactive communication to ensure alignment and coordination with peers across the field organization
- Demonstrate Krystal’s corporate values through adherence to company policies, guidelines, and mission
- Maintain administrative requirements associated with territory management, including CRM documentation, expense reporting, business planning, and performance review
- Attend national, regional, and local meetings and conferences as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills Desired:
- Strong patient-first mindset
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant sales experience, with at least 1+ year of pharmaceutical sales experience required
- Experience in specialty, hospital, or complex selling environments is a plus
- Exposure to complex reimbursement environments and multi-stakeholder selling models
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, manage a territory, and consistently deliver strong performance against objectives
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both virtual and in-person settings
- Ability to work independently in a high-travel role (≥75% overnight and regional travel)
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Must reside within or near the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license required
