Position Summary
The Manager, Community Engagement & Corporate Communications is a hands-on, people-centered leader responsible for strengthening the company’s internal and external communities. This role oversees corporate communications, community investment, and culture-building efforts—viewing each through a shared lens of connection and engagement.The position blends strategic leadership with day-to-day execution. This person must thrive in a highly relational environment, enjoy building strong connections, and be comfortable representing the company across all areas of the organization and within the broader communities throughout all of GreenPoint Ag’s footprint.
Key Responsibilities
External Community Investment
- Direct the company’s charitable giving programs, nonprofit partnerships, and sponsorship strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and community partners across the company’s footprint.
- Lead employee volunteer initiatives, service days, and community-focused programs.
- Manage budgets, logistics, reporting, and documentation for community investment programs.
- Represent the company at community events, meetings, and partnership activities.
- Utilize digital giving platforms such as Blackbaud, Benevity, or similar systems to manage requests and track impact.
Corporate Communications as Community Building
- Lead corporate communications strategy with a focus on connection, culture, and clarity.
- Develop company-wide messaging, announcements, leadership communications, and storytelling that reinforce community.
- Maintain a visible, approachable presence to understand communication needs and gather insights.
- Partner closely with Marketing to align on social media and digital presence.
- Oversee corporate digital channels with content that builds understanding and strengthens internal community.
- Prepare executives for internal and external communications, including talking points, scripts, and presentations.
- Lead issues and crisis communications with a focus on consistency and transparency.
Internal Community & Culture Building
- Partner with senior leadership and HR to design and support initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.
- Lead activities and programs that foster connection, recognition, and shared identity within the organization.
- Create and support office-based events, celebrations, and culture-building experiences.
- Support efforts that reinforce GreenPoint’s vision, mission and core values.

Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with executive leadership to align messaging, community strategy, and cultural priorities.
- Partner deeply with Marketing to coordinate social media and messaging.
- Collaborate with HR and other internal partners to support culture-building initiatives.
- Provide guidance and direction to support staff, vendors, and community partners.
- Establish metrics to evaluate communication effectiveness, culture engagement, and community impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate communications, community relations, culture-building, or related functions.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based roles such as community engagement or partnership management.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with giving/volunteer platforms like Blackbaud, Benevity, or YourCause is preferred.Including the ability to know the ins and outs of a system and effectively use it to provide program insights.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with both strategic planning and hands-on work.
- Naturally engaging and comfortable being a visible representative of the organization.
Work Environment
- Full-time role with in-office presence to support community and culture engagement. While there is some flexibility to work remotely for a portion of the schedule, candidates must be available to work on-site as needed.
- Occasional travel to community events or partner locations.
- Some after-hours participation for key events or activities may be required.
Physical Demands
Day to day, you’ll often use your hands and fingers for tasks and reach with your arms. You’ll spend a good amount of time sitting, talking, and listening. Sometimes, you may need to walk around, stand, climb, keep your balance, or occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
