RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The day-to-day execution, and support of a behavioral plan, can include things like working directly with individual students or small groups, conducting follow-ups, and collecting data. Follow the BIP (the behavior intervention plan) of students in special education.- Collect, record, and summarize data of observable behaviors.- Interact and intervene directly with students who may be experiencing behavioral struggles.- Communicate with school staff and families regularly regarding student’s progress or needs.- Maintain students’ confidentiality.- Assist the BCBA with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.- Support students with behavioral needs in the educational environment to foster learning.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Maintain emotional control under stress.- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.- Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying.- May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchairs or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities.- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment- Strong family engagement and communication
