JOB SUMMARY:
Performs assigned clerical and technical functions in the clinical laboratory
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record daily temperature for refrigerators, freezers and incubators
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment
- Autoclave necessary supplies
- Aliquot solutions
- Assist in preparation of samples before processing
- Organize sample storage
- Receive and unpack supplies, and monitoring inventory
- Perform data entry
- Scan and file documents according to the laboratory protocols
- Provide administrative assistance
- Performs other job related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- High school diploma
- Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year laboratory experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to sit
- Frequently required to stand
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
- Occasionally exposed to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
