Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones.

SUMMARY


Yondr is seeking a strategic and proven leader to serve as Director of Growth as part of their Marketing organization to support the acceleration of our brand and business. This role will build a scalable and measurable funnel across the Yondr business, which would include supporting the brand, education and consumer-focused products. This leader will have deep knowledge and experience in building performance marketing plans to support the business and they will oversee all owned and paid channels including Search, Social, CRM and all Paid Advertising to drive our digital demand generation efforts.

They will know how to optimize accordingly and serve as the internal expert in building this new division within the company. The candidate will be available to work cross functionally with other marketing team leaders and agency partners to build integrated marketing campaigns and work closely with department heads to drive pipeline. We need an entrepreneurial leader who uses data to help unlock revenue opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Growth Strategy & Demand Generation


  • Own Yondr’s end to end growth strategy across all business segments: Education, Live Events, Consumer and Overall Brand.
  • Develop integrated growth plans that align paid, organic, website, email, and social into a unified funnel.
  • Translate brand strategy into measurable acquisition, conversion and retention programs.

Paid Media Ownership (All Channels)


  • Own all paid advertising, including:
  • Paid Social
  • Paid Search
  • Display, retargeting and emerging platforms
  • Manage paid media agency
  • Set performance benchmarks, budgets, and testing roadmaps
  • Continuously optimize CAC, ROAS, and cost per lead by segment

Organic & Paid Social Media Strategy


  • Own both organic and paid social as one system:
  • Channel strategy
  • Content planning
  • Growth testing
  • Distribution strategy
  • Ensure organic social feeds performance insights into a paid strategy and vice versa.
  • Oversee social meda agency & content calendar
  • Drive follower growth, engagement and platform relevance
  • Partner with brand team to ensure voice and creative integrity

Website, CRO, & SEO


  • Own the website as Yondr’s primary conversion engine for consumers.
  • Partner with external agencies to:
  • Redesign and optimize site architecture
  • Improve conversion paths
  • Manage ongoing updates & WebOps
  • Own SEO strategy in partnership with agency:
  • Technical SEO
  • Content optimization
  • Keyword strategy
  • Run CRO testing programs (landings pages, forms, CTAs)

Analytics, Optimization and Reporting


  • Analyze campaign performance and implement data-driven improvements
  • Create A/B testing opportunities to learn and grow from
  • Analyze market trends, customer and industry trends to identify and implement growth opportunities and ensure the brand remains relevant and competitive in the space
  • Monitor and report on metrics, adjusting as needed
  • Build and own lifecycle marketing strategy
  • Email nurturing
  • Lead scoring
  • Re-engagement flows

Team Management and Cross Functional Leadership


  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product leadership to develop measurable and provoking campaigns
  • Partner with Brand Communications to leverage messaging across paid tactics and close collaboration on organic social media approach
  • Closely manage a small team to react quickly, engage swiftly and implement with purpose
  • Serve on the senior marketing leadership team, working closely with the VP and team leaders to execute a fully integrated marketing plan, ensuring brand touchpoints are consistent, aligned and on-brand

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 8 to 12+ years in managing paid & owned social together, advertising & growth marketing at an agency or in-house brand
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making and mindset
  • Understands the blend of art and science - championing the important balance of performance, brand and product marketing
  • Skilled mastery with digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record with building brands
  • Superior experience with budgeting, forecasting
  • Experience in leading a team and managing up to senior leadership
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit that can thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B worlds a plus, as this role will lead efforts for both education and live events, consumer products as well as the brand as a whole

JOB LOCATION:


  • Remote, but this role will be expected to attend occasional in-person meetings/gatherings in NYC.
