Full-timeDescriptionDistrict Photo is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and support our Louisville production facility. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and efficiency, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to meet production, quality, and workforce goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Purpose of the Role


The Operations Manager at the facility provides second-line support to the Group Operations Director, ensuring the effective management of all end-to-end site operations. This role is responsible for strategic project planning, operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across the facility. The Operations Manager collaborates closely with departmental managers and HR to deliver optimal business outcomes, foster a high-performance culture, and maintain alignment with District Photo’s core values.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks


  • Lead and manage the site production team, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and development.
  • Support the COO in strategic planning and execution of operational projects.
  • Oversee the site’s Profit & Loss (P&L) budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all operational functions.
  • Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Champion a customer-focused approach throughout the operations team, ensuring service excellence.
  • Implement and lead improvement programs in partnership with departmental managers.
  • Develop and execute site-wide operational strategies in line with company goals.
  • Ensure effective team management, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with HR on workforce planning, talent development, and employee relations.
  • Maintain rigorous health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Lead training initiatives to build operational capabilities across the team.
  • Promote a positive culture aligned with District Photo’s values: Quality, Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Teamwork.

Health and Safety Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the facility.
  • Lead risk assessments and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Provide training and resources to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Essential Criteria


  • Proven experience in operational management within a manufacturing or production environment.·
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.·
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.·
  • Sound commercial understanding and financial acumen.·
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management.·
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.·
  • Proficient in KPI monitoring and performance analysis.

Desirable Criteria


  • Experience in the print industry or related sectors.·
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in operations management, business, or engineering.·
  • Advanced skills in supply chain management.·
  • Training in health and safety management.·
  • Strong knowledge within a digital printing and finishing environment.

Salary Description$125,000 - $150,000
