Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker’s, Somewhere, Public, Soil, Shalwa and Kumo.
We are presently seeking to hire a highly qualified F&B Brand Trainer, who is responsible for building consistent service, food quality, and brand experience across all restaurants. As the business enters a growth and franchising phase, this role plays a critical part in standardizing training, embedding brand culture, and preparing scalable training systems that can be replicated across company-owned and future franchise locations.
Responsibilities:
Training and Capability Building
- Deliver structured onboarding and ongoing training for front-of-house, back-of-house, and supervisory teams
- Ensure teams are trained on menu knowledge, service standards, SOPs, food safety, and guest experience
- Conduct refresher training to address performance gaps identified through audits, feedback, or mystery shopping
- Coach restaurant managers and supervisors to become effective on-the-job trainers
Standardization and Documentation
- Support the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of:
- Training manuals
- SOPs
- Service playbooks
- Brand standards guide
- Ensure all training content reflects brand positioning, tone of service, and operational excellence
- Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
Franchise Readiness & Support
- Assist in building franchise-ready training frameworks, including:
- Train-the-trainer programs
- Franchise onboarding modules
- Pre-opening and launch training plans
- Support training delivery for new store openings, including pilot and franchise locations
- Ensure consistent brand and service standards across company-owned and franchise outlets
Quality, Compliance and Performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness, and local regulatory requirements
- Partner with Operations and QHSE teams to close audit gaps through targeted training
- Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Operations, HR, and Brand teams to align training with evolving business needs
- Gather frontline feedback to continuously improve training tools and deliver
- Stay updated on industry best practices in hospitality training and guest experience
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations (FOH & BOH)
- Excellent training facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills
- Ability to translate brand values into practical service behaviours
- Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels
- Willingness to travel and support multiple locations
