MetaPhase seeks an experienced Oracle database engineer/administrator to support the ongoing sustainment and modernization of a mission-critical system and applications. The role requires experience sustaining an existing Oracle environment while preparing for an imminent database migration. An ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-past national security environment will be critical.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Overseeing and managing the Oracle data environment for a mission-critical system and applications, while preparing for and leading a migration to SQL Server.
- Serving as the authoritative database administrator for monitoring and optimizing existing database performance.
- Providing technical assistance and guidance to application developers
- Troubleshooting and resolving database related issues and problems
What We Need From You (Required):
- Active Secret Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
- 6+ years managing Oracle databases for Federal Systems using Oracle 9.0 or higher
- Demonstrated experience and ability providing Oracle database administration monitoring and optimization
- Experience installing and tailoring database management software and creating and configuring databases, table spaces, and all other related data objects
- Demonstrated experience using Oracle DMBS tools (SQL)
Bonus Points (Preferred):
- Oracle Certified Professional
- Experience leading an Oracle to SQL Server migration
Work Setup:
- Onsite in Washington, DC (hybrid possible)
Clearance & Education:
- Must have an active Secret clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree
