The Vice President of Product is a hands-on product leader with end-to-end ownership of Libsyn’s podcast hosting platform and advertising technology. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is accountable for product vision, strategy, prioritization, and execution across hosting, monetization, data, and user experience. As a member of the leadership team, this role partners closely with the General Manager of Hosting, the Chief Revenue Officer, and the VP of Engineering to translate business objectives and customer insight into product bets that drive retention, growth, and long-term platform health. This is not a purely strategic or advisory role.
This role works hands-on within a small product team, moving fluidly between executive leadership and day-to-day product work. Success requires strong judgement, clear prioritization, and the ability to balance long-term strategy with the near-term creator and business needs.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Own the vision, roadmap, and overall success of Libsyn’s hosting platform, aligning product direction with company strategy and creator needs.
- Serve as the primary product owner, making day-to-day prioritization and tradeoff decisions that balance customer value, delivery speed, and platform health.
- Bring a strong point of view; challenging assumptions, pushing innovation and helping evolve an industry ripe for change.
- Partner with the General Manager of Hosting and the Chief Revenue Officer to align product strategy with go-to-market plans, monetization initiatives, and creator growth.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership, ensuring product direction is tightly aligned with technical architecture, capacity, and delivery realities.
- Stay hands-on in product work, engaging in discovery, requirements definition, roadmap planning, and cross-functional execution.
- Lead and develop a senior product team, including Product Managers focused on Monetization and Data & Analytics, as well as a Senior UI/UX Designer, driving clarity, accountability, and strong execution.
- Champion a customer-obsessed mindset by deeply embedding in the podcast industry and creator community, translating insight into practical, impactful decisions.
- Establish and evolve product management practices, including prioritization frameworks, AI usage, success metrics, and post-launch evaluation.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive product leadership role.
- Proven success as a hands-on product leader owning a core SaaS platform, ideally in a high-traffic, subscription, media, or creator-focused environment.
- Familiarity with ad-tech and supply-side monetization models.
- Strong customer empathy, with the ability to translate qualitative feedback and quantitative data into clear priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with comfort operating at the executive level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred, not required).
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation (base salary plus bonus).
- Comprehensive health benefits, with employer-paid dental and vision coverage.
- 401(k) plan to help you build towards your future.
