About the Role
As a Financial Wellness Expert, you will provide compassionate, non-judgmental financial counseling services to Wright-Patt Credit Union members both in person and remotely. You’ll work splitting time between the local credit union locations.This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about personal finance, enjoy helping others navigate challenging financial situations, and are motivated by continuous learning and professional development.
What You’ll Do
- Provide financial counseling services in person at Wright-Patt Credit Union locations and remotely via phone
- Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and chat
- Conduct inbound and outbound calls related to GreenPath services
- Gather, review, and analyze client financial information, including credit reports and credit scores
- Develop customized action plans and provide educational resources on budgeting, credit, money management, and housing
- Discuss program options and fees when appropriate, clearly demonstrating value to clients
- Perform housing-related counseling services, including:
- Pre-purchase counseling
- Foreclosure prevention
- Rental counseling
- Post-loan modification coaching
- Reverse mortgage counseling
- Maintain accurate documentation and strict confidentiality of client information
- Participate in ongoing training, certification maintenance, and professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to support teamwork and service excellence
- Adhere to GreenPath and Wright-Patt Credit Union standards, ethics, and business-casual dress code
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in person at multiple local locations
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel weekly to Wright-Patt Credit Union locations (driving is an essential function)
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with 80% accuracy
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (preferred, not required)
- Interest in personal finance, financial education, or counseling
- Willingness to obtain:
- HUD Certification - Learn about The HUD Exam
- National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) Certification
Certifications are not required to apply but must be obtained during training to continue in the role.
Training & Schedule
- Initial Training: Approximately 4 weeks
- Training is structured in modules throughout your first year to support skill development and long-term success
- Regular Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. This role follows a consistent weekly office rotation, working from a different Wright-Patt Credit Union location each day; locations remain the same from week to week. Saturday work is required as part of a department-wide rotation and occurs approximately once per quarter

- Private room with a closing door
- Security camera in addition to computer setup
Caregiving
- Remote work is not a substitute for childcare or elder care
- You must not be the primary caregiver during working hours
