Position Summary
The Chemistry Laboratory Technician supports laboratory operations by maintaining equipment calibration, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and assisting analysts across multiple workstations. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment in accordance with ISO 17025, cGMP, cGLP, and A2LA requirements.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine (daily) verification and calibration checks of laboratory equipment and instruments, including but not limited to Analytical balances, pH meters, Conductivity meters, Other laboratory instruments as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration and verification log records.
- Ensure the laboratory work area remains clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
- Comply with company policies and all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to ISO 17025, cGMP, cGLP, A2LA requirements, and Quality Control guidelines.
- Maintain familiarity with the operation and proper use of all applicable laboratory equipment, systems, and SOPs.
- Provide assistance to analysts across all laboratory workstations as needed.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store all laboratory glassware.
- Track and maintain inventory of laboratory standards, reagents, and received materials.
- Restock laboratory supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Properly dispose of laboratory preparations, waste, and completed samples in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with additional duties, special projects, or tasks as assigned.
Who You Are
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, or equivalent laboratory experience
- Prior analytical laboratory experience preferred
- Familiarity with quality control systems and regulated laboratory environments preferred
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferred
- Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and basic analytical techniques
- Understanding of laboratory safety practices and regulatory compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of documentation accuracy
- Ability to follow SOPs and quality guidelines consistently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
