Main Purpose:
The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all integrated components, assemblies and finished shelter, rack and enclosure packages meet Englobal quality standards, customer specifications and applicable codes and regulations related to instrumentation and electrical systems and functionality. Some fabrication inspection is expected, related to quality of build. This role works closely with I&E production, engineering and project management to identify issues early, maintain documentation and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Essential Functions:
- Own and maintain Englobal Quality Management Systems including continually working with operations to improve production quality while improving schedule
- Address customer feedback and complaints, acting as a key contact for quality-related inquiries
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system walk-downs, final inspections and startup sequences
- Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales and other stakeholders to proactively improve the quality of components and completed assemblies
- Analyze operational capabilities, develop and maintain quality performance metrics
- Perform Quality System audits and provide support for areas in need of continuous improvement
- Partner with the Engineering department to review (and correct) all shop fabrication drawings before they are released to the floor
- Manage and execute all pre and customer witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing activities
- Travel occasionally, approximately 5-10%
- Identify potential conflicts, deviations or non-compliance issues during the fabrication and integration phases and develop corrective action plans
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure adherence to federal, state and local codes, as well as project-specific specifications
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and electrical quality inspection
- Must have overall work process knowledge to support the development and maintenance of the quality management system
- Must have problem solving skills to apply methods for Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Understanding of Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
- Knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes and required error proofing and other quality systems as needed to provide flawless quality
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Atmosphères Explosibles (ATEX), Internation Electrotechnical Commission System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), American Petroleum Institute (API) etc.)
- Knowledgeable in inspection processes - incoming inspection, material & equipment verification and marking requirements and in-process inspection reporting
- Must be meticulous about capturing and retaining information
- Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software etc.)
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to explain issues clearly to team
- Must be analytical and detail oriented
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in a Quality related field
- Previous supervisory experience

Environmental Conditions:
- Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment
- Mix of shop floor and office / documentation work
- May require walking the yard, climbing stairs and inspecting large assemblies
