Sales Inventory Manager

OVERVIEW
Orange Barrel Media is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Inventory Manager to support the day-to-day management of sales inventory across our digital and static signage programs, including resolving inventory conflicts and managing outages and swaps. This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory space is optimized and used effectively to support sales goals and revenue.The Sales Inventory Manager oversees daily inventory holds and trafficking activity while directly managing and developing a team of three Sales Inventory team members.
In addition to hands-on inventory management, this role is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and supporting the professional growth of the team, ensuring they are equipped to handle increasingly complex inventory scenarios
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a high volume of daily inventory hold requests, ensuring availability, timing, and details are accurate and aligned with sales priorities
- Resolve inventory conflicts and manage outages and swaps, coordinating with Sales, Operations, and Data to minimize disruption or impact to contracts
- Oversee pre- and post-launch trafficking activities, including updates and revisions, to ensure campaigns run as planned and inventory is used as intended
- Partner with the Director of Inventory & Ad Operations to implement process updates and system improvements
- Optimize and advise on time-sold strategies to maximize inventory value.
- Support landlord and external partner relationships by providing campaign reporting for select assets to enable scheduling and contract needs, while maintaining accurate internal tracking of intake volume and Partner Reserve time allocation.
- Oversee post-hold campaigns by reviewing inventory and managing outcomes when space becomes unavailable, client priorities change, or campaigns move to contract pending.
- Oversee and support Sales Inventory Coordinators in their day-to-day responsibilities, providing administrative management and ongoing development to support both performance and professional growth.
- Use established platforms to manage campaigns and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while supporting new tool and process adoption.
ABOUT YOU
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Operations, Technology, and other cross-functional teams
- 4+ years of experience managing finite or time-based inventory, sales support operations, or comparable roles in fast-paced, revenue-driven environments
- Demonstrated ability to balance and optimize limited inventory across competing needs to support revenue goals
- Proven ability to work effectively alongside high-performing sales teams, serving as a collaborative and balanced partner while helping navigate priorities and trade-offs
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills when addressing scheduling challenges, competing requests, or escalations
- Experience leading, coaching, and supporting team members, with a focus on growth, clarity, and accountability
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing thoughtful solutions
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy in dynamic, fast-changing environments
- Experience working with inventory management systems, sales platforms, or scheduling tools
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Experience in advertising, media, or adjacent industries is beneficial but not required.
