Your Mission


Join ClearEdge as a Network Engineer supporting programs and infrastructure. You will design, implement, maintain, and upgrade network systems, ensuring reliable and secure communication across software engineering environments. Your work will include analyzing network performance, troubleshooting issues, recommending improvements, and supporting both Linux and Windows systems to optimize connectivity and operational efficiency.

You Will Excel If You Are:


  • Experienced in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Proficient with Linux and Windows, including system administration tasks
  • Certified at CCNA or CCNP level and Security+
  • Comfortable performing physical network tasks, including climbing ladders to access equipment
  • Skilled in troubleshooting network performance and recommending upgrades or modifications
  • Familiar with patching and upgrading Linux servers and network resources
  • Knowledgeable in automation tools such as Ansible or Salt
  • Experienced with AWS and virtualized network environments

A Day In The Life Of:


  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise networks to support distributed software systems
  • Monitoring network performance, analyzing traffic, and troubleshooting connectivity or throughput issues
  • Performing upgrades, patches, and configuration changes on routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
  • Supporting both Linux and Windows systems, including administration tasks where required
  • Using automation tools like Ansible or Salt to streamline network operations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable network functionality
  • Recommending network component upgrades or modifications based on performance analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies and operational standards

Must Have:


  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Twelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required; four (4) additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for a degree
  • IAT Level III baseline certification
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer within the last 3 years
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows, with system administration experience a plus

Nice To Have:


  • Experience patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt
  • Experience with AWS and virtualized network environments
