Position Summary
Peachtree Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Debt Capital Markets to support the structuring, execution, and management of debt financing across the firm’s hospitality and commercial real estate portfolio. This role is on-site in Austin, TX, and reports directly to the Vice President, Debt Capital Markets.The AVP will play a critical role in sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and closing debt transactions, while maintaining strong relationships with lenders and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in real estate finance, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative, execution-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of debt financing transactions, including construction loans, bridge loans, mezzanine debt, and permanent financing
- Prepare detailed financial models, underwriting analyses, and investment memoranda for lenders and internal approval
- Coordinate all aspects of the debt closing process, including due diligence, lender negotiations, documentation review, and closing logistics
- Maintain and expand relationships with banks, debt funds, CMBS lenders, and other capital providers
- Collaborate closely with acquisitions, asset management, development, and legal teams to ensure financing aligns with business objectives
- Monitor debt portfolio performance, covenant compliance, maturities, and refinancing opportunities
- Support market research efforts related to capital markets trends, interest rates, and lender appetite
- Assist VP, Debt Capital Markets with strategic initiatives and ad hoc analyses as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (MBA or MSRE preferred)
- 5–8+ years of experience in debt capital markets, real estate finance, investment banking, commercial lending, or private equity
- Strong understanding of hospitality and/or commercial real estate financing structures
- Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with senior leadership and external lenders
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach
