Director of Revenue & Corporate Development
Company: Gesture US Inc. Location: Onsite – New York City (Non-Negotiable) Travel: 75%+ Annually Reports to: VP of OperationsAnnual Base: Range + Commission & Bonus Opportunities
Role Overview
Gesture is scaling aggressively and requires a builder-first revenue leader, and we arehiring a Director of Revenue & Corporate Development. This role is not for career sales managers, strategy-only operators, or anyone looking for a comfortable leadership title. The Director of Revenue & Corporate Development is responsible for all revenue generation across Reach360 (B2B), the Gesture consumer mobile app (C2C), and proprietary AI monetization. This role explicitly combines a leadership based role with a hands-on deal execution. This is not a corporate management role.
The DOR is expected to be in the trenches—prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing, and managing key accounts—while simultaneously building the revenue systems, team, and strategy required to scale Gesture to new heights and goals in the next 24–36 months.
Read This Carefully Before Applying
This is a hands-on, builder-first, high-accountability role. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn’t, this is not your seat.
What This Role Actually Is
You will personally own revenue across:
- Reach360 (B2B enterprise)
- Gesture’s consumer mobile app (C2C)
- Our proprietary AI monetization (launching soon)
You will be prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals yourself—especially enterprise and strategic opportunities—while simultaneously building the revenue engine that scales the company over the next 24–36 months. You are expected to operate in the trenches, not manage from a distance.
What This Role Is NOT
Let’s be clear:
- This is not a “manage a sales team and report numbers” job
- This is not a strategy-only corporate development role
- This is not a VP title with minimal execution
- This is not a role for people who need heavy process, large teams, or perfect conditions to perform
If you haven’t closed real deals yourself in the last few years, this will be painful.
What You Will Be Held Accountable For
There is no ambiguity here. You own:
- Revenue outcomes (B2B + B2C + AI)
- Pipeline health and forecasting accuracy
- Pricing, packaging, and monetization
- Closing enterprise and strategic deals
- Revenue-driven partnerships and corp dev initiatives
- Building a repeatable, defensible revenue engine
When revenue is up, you get credit. When revenue is down, it falls on you.
What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable)
Do not apply unless you can honestly say yes to all of the following:
- You have personally closed complex enterprise deals ($250K–$1M+ ACV)
- You’ve built revenue motions from scratch (pricing, GTM, pipeline, CRM discipline)
- You are comfortable inheriting a founder-led pipeline and closing it
- You have structured and negotiated revenue-share or strategic partnership agreements
- You’ve monetized technology-driven products (AI, data, SaaS, platforms)
- You can work shoulder-to-shoulder with Product and Engineering to turn tech into revenue
- You thrive in founder-led, high-pressure, execution-first environments
- You are onsite in NYC, full-time
- You are willing to travel 75%+ annually
What Success Looks Like
In your first months, you will:
- Take full ownership of all in-flight deals from the CEO
- Close meaningful revenue personally
- Establish forecasting discipline and pipeline clarity
- Begin landing enterprise “lighthouse” customers
- Shape how proprietary AI is priced, packaged, and sold
This role has real influence, real upside, and real responsibility. It also has nowhere to hide.
Who Should Not Apply
You should not apply if:
- You prefer managing over selling
- You need a large team to be effective
- You avoid aggressive targets or direct accountability
- You want remote or low-travel work
- You’re looking for a polished, low-friction corporate environment
