About the Position:


We are seeking a talented Enterprise Business Development Director to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships with large RIAs, Broker Dealers, banks, and wealth tech firms. This individual will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing. You will be a key liaison for our most strategic clients, understanding their needs to position Halo’s protective investment solutions effectively while collaborating across internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to build a robust pipeline and secure new business with enterprise clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain deep, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and C-level executives.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, delivering tailored product demonstrations, creating proposals, driving timely buying decisions and negotiating contracts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and the evolving needs of our partners to inform sales and product strategy.
  • Represent Halo at industry conferences and collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to drive successful client implementations and go-to-market initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience within financial services or FinTech.
  • A proven track record of successfully selling complex solutions to large RIAs, Broker Dealers, banks, or wealth tech platforms.
  • Deep understanding of advisory business models, investment process, and financial technology. 
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated and organized professional with a history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Successful collaborator who enjoys building relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications (CFA, CFP) are a plus.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63/66 required (or obtainable within 60 days of start date).
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.

  • This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role, however highly-qualified, remote candidates will be considered.

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $120,000-150,000 (based on skills and experience), plus a competitive variable compensation designed to incentivize and reward.
