Position: Assistant Service Manager for Sycamore at Tyvola – Charlotte, NC
Role Overview
As the Assistant Service Manager, you are expected to lead by example for the service team of this community with 288 apartment-homes. Help set the standard by demonstrating superior technical skills and leadership. You are the right-hand person for the Service Manager, especially when that individual is not present.Competitive pay + $750.00 per month rent discount for live-on (if desired) + team bonus + on-call appreciation bonus + paid training + medical insurance + matching 401K + fun events
Most Important Responsibilities
- Demonstrate keen leadership qualities and take initiative to help guide the team as they make timely high-quality repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with the Service Manager and the entire team to communicate the mechanical/technical aspects of the community and make good decisions.
- Share your knowledge with the team, while continuing to develop your own future management potential.
- Take direction from the Community Manager and Service Manager to ensure everyone follows CRC protocol.
- Help manage the day-to-day maintenance activities for this community.
- Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Oversee the quality of final work product, while performing tasks yourself, i.e. turns and tickets.
Most Important Qualifications
- MUST BE A GO-GETTER with a proven track record of stepping up to the plate and taking initiative.
- 2+ years of maintenance exp in multifamily property management.
- HVAC exp, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership skills required.
- EPA Certification required and CPO preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
- Vehicle, driver’s license, appropriate tools
