About the role:
Validere is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant with 4+ years of experience in EHS and regulatory compliance to help scale our environmental practice. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who is ready to move beyond traditional consulting and integrate environmental data with technical solutions. You will own the regulatory integrity of our key accounts, ensuring their compliance workflows are seamlessly integrated into our platform, while playing a critical role in expanding our service capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting Practice Growth & Execution: Support the expansion of Validere’s environmental consulting service line. You will help develop standardized methodologies and "playbooks" that combine your regulatory expertise with our technology to deliver scalable solutions for our clients, and will grow our services offerings within existing accounts.
- Account Regulatory Ownership: Serve as the dedicated subject matter expert for key accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring that client data and reporting obligations are accurately configured and maintained within the Validere software.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted point of contact for client EHS teams, helping them navigate regulatory changes and leverage our platform to reduce their administrative burden.
- Lead a dynamic team of technical and subject matter experts, leveraging their skills to meet strategic client goals while identifying new value creation opportunities
- Partner with our Sales team to scope client engagements and expansions by providing strategic advisory and subject matter expertise throughout the pre-sales process
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of direct experience in EHS, environmental consulting, or regulatory compliance within the Canadian energy sector.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state/provincial reporting frameworks and a desire to stay at the forefront of evolving environmental standards.
- Platform Aptitude: A strong interest in how technology and AI can solve traditional environmental challenges. You should be comfortable navigating data systems and software.
- Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work across teams and build professional relationships with external stakeholders and partner organizations.
- Project & Client Leadership: 4–6 years of experience managing complex environmental projects and owning client relationships. You have a proven ability to lead stakeholders through the full project lifecycle while ensuring all software-based compliance outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy and auditability.
