ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that deliver seamless user experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new features from concept to production and ensure the apps perform reliably at scale. USA Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Android applications with high performance and quality.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement new features.
- Optimize app performance, usability, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes, and other issues.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Stay current with Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Contribute to improving mobile architecture and development processes.
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of Android development experience.
- Strong skills in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
- Knowledge of Android Jetpack components and modern libraries (preferred: Compose, Coroutines, Room, Datastore).
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
- Understanding of unit testing, UI testing, and test automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
- Experience with cloud services (Firebase, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred:
- You have at least 3 years of professional Android development experience.
- You are proficient in Kotlin and/or Java, with a strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- You are familiar with modern Android architecture patterns like MVVM or MVP.
- You are passionate about building intuitive, high-performance mobile apps.
- You are a team player who enjoys collaboration and code reviews, and you take pride in writing clean, maintainable code.
At RADAR, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $185,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan, flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
