Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to underserved populations? Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA) to support pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients in our medical clinic.
About the Role:
As a vital member of our integrated care team, the CMA provides direct patient care and supports daily clinic operations. From taking vital signs and administering treatments to coordinating supplies and supporting medical procedures, you will help deliver high-quality, equitable health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties: phlebotomy, immunizations, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient prep and documentation
- Maintain supply inventory and clinic cleanliness
- Support clinic workflows including instrument sterilization, lab processing, and quality logs
- Travel between agency clinics as needed
What We’re Looking For:
✔ High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Program✔ Certified or registered Medical Assistant preferred (AAMA or equivalent)✔ Active BLS CPR certification (required)✔ One year of experience in a medical office (preferred)✔ Experience with underserved or homeless populations strongly preferred✔ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills✔ Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
