About Countable Labs

At Countable Labs (formerly Enumerix), we are redefining what modern genomics can be. Our Countable PCR platform delivers highly accurate, multiplexed quantification with the simplicity of qPCR and at a cost that makes advanced genomics broadly accessible. In 2025, Countable PCR was recognized with both Analytical Scientist and Scientist Innovation awards, validating the platform’s scientific impact and real-world value. Backed by top-tier life sciences venture capital firms, we are building a category-defining technology that enables next-level genomics for clinical and research applications. We are a fast-growing, mission-driven startup where ownership is real, innovation is expected, and product leaders have the opportunity to shape the future of an entire platform.

If you want to take charge of a portfolio, guide world-class science into the market, and see your decisions translate directly into customer impact, this is the role for you.

  • Act as the portfolio owner for assays and reagents, ensuring coherence, scalability, and strategic alignment across the product ecosystem.
  • Define and maintain clear product requirements grounded in customer insights, clinical use cases, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead and drive the Product Development Process in close partnership with R&D, guiding scientific teams toward well-scoped, customer-driven outcomes.
  • Partner with R&D scientists and engineers to translate technical capabilities into robust, manufacturable, and differentiated products.
  • Collaborate closely with quality and operations to ensure products are compliant, scalable, and reliably supplied for both RUO and future clinical pathways.
  • Lead forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin analysis in collaboration with finance and commercial leadership.
  • Develop and own product naming, positioning, and portfolio structure, working closely with product marketing to deliver clear, differentiated messaging.
  • Lead and manage external collaborations with academic, clinical, and industrial partners to co-develop, validate, and expand assay offerings.

  • Track product performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics to inform continuous improvement and next-generation portfolio planning.

What we’re looking for

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or product development within molecular diagnostics, life sciences tools, or assay development.
  • Hands-on expertise in assay design, reagent formulation, and molecular biology workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with clinical diagnostics and molecular testing markets, including regulatory considerations such as IVDs, LDTs, and CLIA labs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading PDP-driven development and guiding R&D teams toward customer- and market-driven outcomes.
  • Experience managing external collaborations or partnerships for assay development, validation, or commercialization.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across scientific, commercial, and executive teams.
  • High attention to detail and systems thinking, able to ensure assays and reagents integrate seamlessly with instrument and software ecosystems.
