Charlotte Mechanical is a well-respected mechanical contractor in the Charlotte area. We are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a Plumbing Crew Leader to join our team. This position is ideal for a motivated leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and team development.

Job Purpose

The Plumbing Crew Leader helps manage multi-family plumbing construction crews by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; supervising employees and subcontractors; completing quality inspections; and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate job expectations and provide direction to crew members
Plan, monitor, and evaluate job performance and productivity
Contribute construction data and feedback to strategic planning and project reviews
Implement and maintain production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Identify and resolve project issues; recommend improvements to construction management systems
Define project scope, purpose, and resource requirements
Schedule and coordinate crews and subcontractors
Establish jobsite standards and protocols
Resolve design issues and evaluate and implement change orders
Conduct inspections at critical phases to approve work quality
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing and safety codes
Enforce safety standards to maintain a secure and healthy work environment
Stay current with emerging construction practices and industry standards
Participate in training, educational opportunities, and professional development

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience leading plumbing crews
Must be skilled in both rough-in and trim plumbing
Strong supervision and delegation skills
Quality management and quality-focused mindset
Ability to manage productivity and profitability
Supply and materials management experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Requirements

Must pass a drug screen
Must pass a background check
Must have own hand tools
