Summary
The Merchant Operations Executive is a critical role responsible for the end-to-end management of merchant relationships, from offer onboarding and activation to daily performance monitoring and monthly financial settlement. This position ensures the accuracy of offers and transaction data, serving as the primary operational link between the company, its affiliates, and merchants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Merchant Onboarding & Campaign Management
- Affiliate Liaison: Serve as the primary operational contact for affiliates, communicating to secure details regarding new offers, commission structures, and promotional terms.- Offer Confirmation: Inform merchants (clients) about incoming offers, ensuring clear understanding and securing explicit confirmation before activation.
- System Onboarding:
Execute the precise and timely setup of new merchants and offers within the internal tracking and operational systems.
2. Daily Offer Monitoring & Quality Assurance
- Data Integrity Checks:
Perform daily, comprehensive checks on all active offers, verifying cashback rates, commission percentages, and tracking link functionality.
- Offer Optimization: Maintain the offers and upsize them periodically, connecting with the technical team to implement and deploy these changes.- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify discrepancies or changes in offer terms (e.g., link breakages, rate changes) by connecting with affiliate partners.- Escalation Management: Immediately escalate any critical transaction or offer integrity issues to the relevant internal technical or partnership teams for swift resolution.
3. Financial Reporting & Settlement- Daily Transaction Reporting:
Generate and distribute accurate daily transaction reports, ensuring all data is captured without failure and providing visibility into performance.
- Monthly Reconciliation: Lead the monthly settlement process by meticulously reconciling transaction data against affiliate records.- Payment Collection & Updating: Follow up with affiliates to secure outstanding payments, update the master transaction sheets, and finalize the comprehensive monthly settlement ledger.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a role focused on operations, affiliate marketing, or merchant management (preferably in an e-commerce, cashback, or digital advertising environment).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, especially when dealing with financial figures and tracking links.
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) for daily reporting and monthly settlement tasks.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working effectively with affiliate partners and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet strict daily/monthly deadlines.
