If you like building high-performance systems, wrangling massive data flows, and working close to the markets, this is your arena.</p><hr><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li><p>Design, optimize, and maintain Node.js microservices handling tens of thousands of messages per second.</p></li><li><p>Connect new data sources and maintain existing ingestion pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Improve observability across the data stack — logs, metrics, traces, and alerts.</p></li><li><p>Write the business logic that powers charting, scanning, backtesting, and custom scripting.</p></li><li><p>Implement automated tests and uphold our standard of clean, maintainable code.</p></li><li><p>Manage infrastructure with Terraform — AWS RDS, Lambda, SQS, and related services.</p></li><li><p>Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB directly (no ORMs), scaling both high-read and high-write systems.</p></li><li><p>Tune performance and memory efficiency in complex, event-driven systems.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with traders, data scientists, and product teams to translate trading ideas into working software.</p></li><li><p>Continuously learn, experiment, and refine how market data and automation come together.</p></li></ul><hr><h3>What You Bring</h3><ul><li><p>Deep expertise in <strong>Node.js</strong> and experience debugging memory leaks, profiling performance, and fixing event-loop jams.</p></li><li><p>Experience writing and maintaining <strong>Terraform</strong> configurations (AWS RDS + Lambda + SQS).</p></li><li><p>Solid command of <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> and <strong>MongoDB</strong>, handling large-scale datasets efficiently.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of both <strong>object-oriented</strong> and <strong>functional programming</strong> concepts — and when to use each.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>Kubernetes</strong> — at least configuring clusters, bonus points for creating and managing them.</p></li><li><p>Comfort working in a <strong>microservice architecture</strong> (30+ services, all ECMAScript).</p></li><li><p>A disciplined approach to testing, CI/CD, container orchestration, monitoring, and alerting.</p></li><li><p>A genuine curiosity about markets and trading; hands-on trading or strategy design experience is a major plus.</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Why This Role</h3><p>You’ll be building the backbone of a platform used by thousands of serious traders and quants.
