Summary:


The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue accounting process, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role involves analyzing revenue streams, maintaining revenue records, and supporting financial audits. The Revenue Accounting Supervisor/Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue and contribute to the development of revenue-related accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:


Education:


·Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ·CPA designation is preferred.

Experience:


·Minimum of 6 years of experience in a revenue-focused accounting role. ·Prior background in public accounting firms is preferred. ·Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and experience implementing related controls. Knowledge of genetics testing and healthcare billing practices is a plus. ·Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in financial analysis, including variance analysis and forecasting. ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

·Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. ·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite and Quadax)

Duties and Responsibilities:


Financial Close & Compliance:


·Support the monthly financial close process, manage the revenue recognition process in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606). ·Ensure accurate and complete recording of revenue transactions, including contract reviews and performance obligations. ·Review and analyze contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition.

Financial Reporting:


·Prepare and review revenue-related financial statements, reports, and disclosures. ·Ensure accurate and timely submission of revenue reports to management and external stakeholders·Monitor and analyze revenue trends and variance to provide insights and recommendations.

Financial Analysis:


·Conduct detailed analyses of revenue streams, including pricing models, contract terms, and performance metrics. ·Provide insights and recommendations based on revenue analysis to support business decision-making. ·Assist in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and financial projections related to revenue.

Process Improvement:


·Identify opportunities for process improvements in the revenue accounting function. ·Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue recognition. ·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline revenue-related processes and systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


·Work closely with sales, legal, and contract management teams to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance. ·Provide guidance and support on revenue-related accounting issues and inquiries.

Other Duties:


·Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the team and business needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


·Frequently required to sit, stand and utilize hand and finger dexterity.·Frequently required to talk or hear and use visual acuity for reading and operating equipment.
