This is a
hybrid role based in our Palo Alto, CA office and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.
About the Team:
The Tax team at Grindr supports the company’s global growth by ensuring compliance with state and local tax requirements while continuously improving internal tax processes. This role will be part of the Finance organization and will report to a member of the Tax team. As a Tax Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting day-to-day tax operations and helping the team stay organized, responsive, and efficient as the business scales. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining compliance and strengthening the operational foundation that supports Grindr’s roadmap.
About the Job:
- Assist with reviewing, tracking, and responding to state corporate income tax notices in a timely and organized manner
- Help maintain and organize tax records, workpapers, and correspondence to ensure accurate and easily accessible documentation
- Support ongoing efforts to streamline and improve tax department processes and internal workflows
- Partner with members of the Tax and broader Finance teams to support day-to-day operational needs
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Role Requirements:
- Ability to commit 10–15 hours per week during standard business hours
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, documents, and basic data tracking tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in tax, accounting, or finance operations

- Have coursework or prior exposure to accounting, tax, finance, or a related field
- Have experience working with financial documentation or administrative processes
- Have familiarity with process documentation or workflow improvement
