Key Output
• Achieve warranty balance score card targets and KPI’s• Control cost effectively on normal types of warranty claims• Provide support for Warranty resolution• Ensure effective self-management and performance ownership, driving warranty and service WIP• Provide feedback on warranty issues to supervisors and artisans• Decide on Warranty fitness of jobs / Prepare and ensure warranty claims are claim fit• Develop / training on warranty skills for supervisors and artisans
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Grade 12• Qualified Artisan will be advantages, (Mechanic in relevant trade e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment• Mechanic or relevant qualification• Four years post apprentice/learnership experience (1 years post red seal qualification as an artisan)• Machine general technical knowledge and applied skills also understand warranty service principles• Applicable product knowledge and good understanding of Caterpillar warranty process / system• Basic financial acumen L1, Influencing and negotiating L1• Technical report writing skill L1, Customer responsiveness L1• Organisational awareness L1, Attention to detail L1• Computer literate (MS Office, SIS & SAP/CRM – Warranty role) a must• Problem solving and failure analysis skills L1
