How you’ll make an Impact


As a Senior Account Manager (SAM), you will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction while retaining and growing revenue across a defined portfolio of Government Contractor clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients align technology and compliance initiatives with business objectives while delivering strong retention and expansion outcomes.

Location and Work Expectations


  • This is a hybrid-remote requiring travel to client locations throughout the DMV area or to the McLean, VA HQ office. The specific allocation of remote versus onsite requirements may fluctuate based on business needs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

What you will be doing


  • Manage up to 25 named accounts, representing $2.5M–$4M in annual recurring revenue (ARR)
  • Oversee individual client accounts generating $8K+ in monthly recurring revenue
  • Assist clients in the understanding of GovCon regulatory frameworks, including CMMC (Level 1–2), NIST 800-171, DFARS, and FAR
  • Collaborate closely with vCISO, compliance, security, and technical teams to ensure client initiatives align with regulatory expectations
  • Help clients understand Ntiva’s role in supporting compliance readiness and ongoing operational security
  • Identify, pursue, and close expansion opportunities to consistently achieve quarterly sales goals
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual client meetings to discuss strategy, budgets, and technology roadmaps
  • Communicate new Ntiva products, services, and enhancements to clients
  • Manage and execute agreement renewals, ensuring the right mix of services and identifying upsell opportunities
  • Partner with solution architects to scope and position client projects effectively
  • Collaborate with business development teams to onboard new clients
  • Identify at-risk accounts and proactively develop retention strategies
  • Share client feedback internally to ensure expectations are clearly set and consistently met
  • Communicate service, technology, and internal process changes to clients
  • Review client invoices monthly and collaborate with Finance on updates as needed
  • Engage with clients carrying 60+ day past-due balances
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

You’ll be successful in this role if you have


  • 5–7 years of client-facing or client services experience (IT industry preferred)
  • This role involves extended periods of sitting or standing and regular use of computers and office equipment
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Experience supporting Government Contractors or regulated clients
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to gather information and drive outcomes
  • Comfort working under pressure while maintaining a professional, tactful demeanor
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of organization and time-management capability
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171, DFARS, and federal compliance requirements
  • Experience with cybersecurity, cloud (GCC / GCC High / Azure), and managed security services
  • Background in MSP or professional services environments supporting regulated industries
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems.

Required language skills


  • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
  • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public

Bonus points for


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP) certification or demonstrated working knowledge of the CMMC framework
  • Experience with ConnectWise or similar service management platforms
  • Familiarity with network- and systems-level technology services

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000.00 and $115,000.00 per year, plus a commission plan. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems. 

Workspace Requirements and Remote Work Policy


Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and that is secure from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva’s IT User and Security Policies that include but are not limited to password-protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi-Fi, having adequate arrangements in place to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval).

Any remote work away from a team member’s normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by team member, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.
