• Need a Principal Product Designer to own key experiences from inception to release.
• Need an experienced hand to align core interaction patterns, lead user center design thinking, collaborate with everyone, and deliver delightful experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• 30 Day:
• Become completely immersed in the Vapi product experience.
• Identify where users get stuck and which workflows break down.
• Generate a quick hit list “here’s a pain and here’s a fix” improvements.
• Forge Design/PM/Eng into a well-oiled user centered feature team.
• 60 Day:
• Design and deliver 1 high-leverage end to end product experience that visibly moves adoption, engagement or retention.
• Turn your projects into delightful design specifications that bring the team and customers together.
• Research customer needs and shape the roadmap with data.
• 90 Day:
• Own and execute on a 12-month roadmap of product features.
• Build the core of a reusable component system taking atoms to particles.
• Make that product experience feel boringly excellent: fewer confusions, more accelerating experiences.
• Raise the experience bar across Vapi by demonstrating clarity, speed, honesty, and customer empathy. Help turn Vapi into a customer-led product rich organization.

Who You Are:

• You're relentless in the pursuit of delightful customer experiences.
• You build excitement and enthusiasm with teams through storytelling, personas, and prototypes.
• You are a deep expert in figma and find yourself figuring out new ways to make everyone around you more efficient.
• You are equally comfortable synthesizing customer needs, defining requirements, mapping workflows, and crafting elegant visuals.
• You are on the current edge of AI prototyping, but know when to apply it or not.
• You enjoy going repeatedly from user pain -> crisp spec -> shipped product -> slightly wrong -> mods -> roughly right.
• You speak fluent Enterprise and fluent technical product design.
• You like hanging out regularly with Karl the Fog in our San Francisco office.
