We are looking for a
Business Development Representative(BDR)to engage andqualifyinbound and outbound leads,assistwith lead assignments, andarrangemeetings for the sales team. This role will also work closely with sales and marketing to find new opportunities, research their businesses thoroughly, contact key buyer personas through LinkedIn, email, and phone, introduce the value proposition to decision makers,and ultimately, setup qualified meetings and product demonstrations. We are looking fora great teamplayer who is positive, self-motivated,energetic,and a quick learner with commitment to quality and dedication to long-term success.

Whatyou’llbe doing: 


  • Contact and qualifytop offunnel leads from marketing campaigns, qualifyingprospects, and documentdetailedresults inthe customer management (CRM) system,ina timelymanner.

  • Research, engage, and qualify prospects whose needs align with First Orion solutions.

  • Reach a target set of prospects via email,cold calls& social media;establishrapport;and schedule meetings with key buyer personas for sales.

  • Field incoming inquiries through our inbound channels.

  • Become knowledgeable ofthe company’sproducts and target industries tofacilitatesales efforts.

  • Use time efficiently to meet goals and work collaboratively with other team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales & Marketing team.

Whatyou’llneed:


  • Passion for sales,preferablywith an interest in SaaS and technology,always on the lookout for new prospects.

  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.

  • Strong verbal and written communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable engaging in conversations with business leaders and management.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel,PowerPoint,and Word.

  • Competent computerutilizationskillsincludingthe importanceofmaintainingaccurateinformation in a database.

  • Able to make good judgments based on evidence and available knowledge.

  • Possessesconfidence, professionalism, motivation, and eagerness to succeed.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Bonus points:


  • Familiarity with selling high value, long lead time enterprise solutionssoftwareor high value services.

  • At least one (1) year of phone selling or customer support experience.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce application.
