Internship Overview:


Intuitive Machines is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join ourStructures and Design team as an intern. As a Structures & Design Intern in the Structures & Analysis Group, you will contribute to the structural integrity and dynamic performance of aerospace systems, including spacecraft, landers, and payloads. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to apply engineering principles, use advanced tools, and collaborate with experienced engineers on cutting-edge projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the design and analysis of aerospace structures, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of thermal systems, including thermal control solutions for spacecraft and related components.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to support various stages of the product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to testing and validation.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of aerospace components and structures.
  • Participate in structural and thermal analysis using simulation tools to evaluate the performance and integrity of designs.

Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Certifications and associates backgrounds also welcome.
  • Strong interest in aerospace structures, mechanical design, and structural design
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Solidworks) and structural analysis tools.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a dynamic aerospace engineering environment.
