Responsibilities:


  • Analyze, design, and implement information systems that align with business and operational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate system requirements.
  •  Implement and troubleshoot system and application issues to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Ensure lab systems are developed, deployed, and maintained to operate efficiently and effectively.
  • This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for optimizing technology solutions.

Education & Experience


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related discipline, with typically 10 years of experience in the field or a closely related area.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a comparable role, with demonstrated expertise in systems analysis, design, and implementation.

Technical Skills:


  •  Proficiency in systems analysis tools and methodologies.
  •  Ability to administer Linux and/or Windows servers.
  • Perform software updates on servers in accordance with Lab Manager schedules and instructions.
  •  Maintain installed software through regular patching and updates.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues.
  •  Experience with SQL, databases, and Docker-based systems.
  •  Familiarity with DevOps pipeline automation.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Shell scripting, Python, or C#.
  • Experience with configuration management and version control using Git.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and multi-site, network, and storage operations.
  •  Experience using project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Atlassian Suite, Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to provide user support across multiple lab environments.

Requisition Preferences: 


  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
  • System Analysis: Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
  • System Administration: Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft and Linux systems in complex environments.
  • Solution Design: Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements.
  •  Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems meet functional and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solution delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards and security protocols; assist in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities.
