About the role:
Analyst Studio is a collaborative data platform developed by ThoughtSpot that empowers data teams to accelerate the transformation of raw data into actionable insights. It provides a unified environment where users can seamlessly prepare data for AI, perform ad hoc analysis, and manage data and costs—all within an integrated platform.

What you’ll do:
- Development of complex projects in Java, postgreSQL, SQS, Dynamo DB
- Design and implement scalable backend systems that process and manage large volumes of customer data
- Analyse and improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our backend stack
- Write robust code and write functional, performance, and system test suites
- Utilise AWS services to build robust cloud-based solutions
- Work as a member of a team, helping the team respond quickly and effectively to business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality products
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges
- Stay current with AI trends and incorporate them into our solutions
What you will bring:
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience working with NoSQL database patterns
- Experience building distributed and scalable systems
- Awareness of message queuing systems
- Strong grasp of software engineering best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus skills:
- Experience working on cloud platform like AWS
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Experience with Dropwizard for building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with DuckDB for analytical queries
Hybrid work at ThoughtSpot:
This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position. Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office requirement of at least three days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
