Data Steward at EDA Data | ThatStartupJob

Key Responsibilities:

Curate company / contact records and associated hierarchies to deliver a centralized source of truth for Fusable’s core data organization
Review data queues of automated match, merge rule results and determine override conditions with manual intervention
Develop and enforce data management standards, policies, and procedures.
Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with data owners and subject matter experts to define and maintain data definitions, data models, and metadata.
Maintain and update data dictionaries and catalogs.
Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security regulations.
Assist in the implementation of data governance tools and platforms.
Conduct regular audits and data cleansing activities.
Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure data requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Support data migration and integration projects with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
Provide training and guidance to end-users on data policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or a similar role.

Skills:

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and principles.
Experience with data quality tools and metadata management solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Data Stewardship in Reltio or similar Master Data Management platforms
Experience in curating customer hierarchies leveraging 3rd party authorities (e.g. D&B, Moody’s, etc.)
Certification in data management or governance (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) is a plus.
