Job Summary:


The Microsoft Administrator performs duties under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, though specific tasks may come from other stakeholders across the organization. This role is directly responsible for administering and managing the entire Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and related services. The position ensures secure, efficient, and optimized use of Microsoft technologies across the organization, while collaborating effectively with teams to support business objectives.

Duties:


Serve as lead administrator for:

  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Microsoft Azure and Entra ID (Identity and Access Management)
  • Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Management)
  • Microsoft Purview (Compliance and Data Governance)
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Configure, manage, and optimize security policies, compliance settings, and identity governance across Microsoft services
  • Build, maintain, and enhance custom Power BI dashboards and reports to support business and leadership needs
  • Implement and manage Intune policies for device compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security
  • Monitor and resolve system alerts, error logs, and performance issues across all Microsoft platforms
  • Manage release and patching processes, including updates and testing for Microsoft & third-party services
  • Administer user accounts, licensing, roles, and permissions across M365 and Azure environments
  • Review, optimize, and maintain workflows, automations, templates, and integrations within Power Platform and Dynamics 365
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Microsoft platform support and service requests
  • Onboard, train, and support new users across all Microsoft technologies
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure adoption of best practices and consistent processes
  • Partner with IT vendors to implement enhancements and resolve complex issues
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contributing input on Microsoft strategy and roadmap
  • Stay current with Microsoft ecosystem updates, best practices, and emerging technologies, recommending improvements where appropriate
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts, demonstrating strong customer service skills
  • Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with leadership, staff, and vendors, exercising tact and diplomacy
  • Work collaboratively within a team through change and challenges to support organizational goals
  • Demonstrate a spirit of extreme ownership with a strong focus on quality service delivery
  • Manage time effectively while balancing multiple priorities
  • Contribute proactively to team efforts in support of departmental and organizational goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:


  • Associate’s degree in related field with 5+ years of experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3+ years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Microsoft certifications if no job-related advanced degree
  • Demonstrated work-related experience may be considered instead of education requirements
  • Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements
